“About Life and Other Important Issues” is an exhibition of Alberto Torres Hernández where he shows a very personal glance of the sea, the lack of affection and what happen in the middle of the path.

José Luis Pérez

An artistic object is defines for its capacity of suggestion, and that is just one of the main features of José Luis Pérez’s work. They are photos proposing different readings, playing with the images and their reflexes. The result is a poetic photography thematically and formally rich, an expressive level that is achieved, according with Cartier-Bresson, when “you have perfectly aligned in an axis head, eye and heart”.

2013 TRIP ON BOARD 'ELCANO' TRAINING SHIP

Alvargonzález Foundation organizes a photographic exhibition Niemeyer Cultural Center in Avilés. The exhibition will focus around the last instructional trip on board the Spanish training ship Juan Sebastián Elcano.

The exhibition will coincide with the visit of the ship to Avilés between the days July 8th and 10th.

The exhibition collects 25 photos made by the crew member of the training ship during the trip in 2013.  

In can be seen in the Room 2 at Niemeyer Center beginning on Monday 8th July

She studied Fine Arts in Oviedo, being pupil of Magín Berenger, Roberto Crespo joglar and E.Villaverde

MUSEL DISASTER, ONE HUNDRED YEARS LATER. 1913-2013

The upcoming Monday, February 25th, will take place the inauguration of the exhibition entitled “Musel Disaster, 100 years later”. 1913-2013. It will remain opened until March 12th.
