ENGRAVING AND OIL PAINTING

Due to her retirement, she left the classrooms and took up the paintbrushes: oil painting, acrylics and collages with addictive techniques. She started painting urban and rural landscapes, faceted countenances, where subjective colours are shown. Thus, without leaving oil painting, the engraving came and became her essential expressive means: xylography, screen-printing, etching, aquatint, additive techniques, raised techniques.

Her mountain hikes, her passion for snow and her trips are reflected in her artwork. Nature is always present: green, autumn or winter landscapes, pictures of cities… and little by little she moved towards abstraction. Today, she presents a selection of her last paintings which reflect her work with oil painting and engraving. Leaf, lichen and moss prints, the forest is mixed together with aquatic images, different coloured gouaches; stains and emptiness are present, shapes and colours follow, reaching abstraction without giving up figurative art.

But, where to go? To continue improving and working is her ultimate goal and passion.
