SOMBREROS Y TOCADOS EN LAS OBRAS DE LOS GRANDES MAESTROS

...I have carried out collective and individual exhibitions with watercolor techniques in the Community of Madrid, the capital of Madrid, Cuenca, Salamanda and Ávila. Lately I have exhibited acrylics at the Valey Cultural Center of Valey in Piedras Blancas, watercolors at El Centro El Coto in Gijón, and drawing atthe Trascorrales exhibition room in Oviedo.

I have called this exposition of the Alvargonzález Foundation "Sombreros y tocados de los grandes maestros de la pintura" (Hats and headdresses of the great masters of painting). The name originated when I was contemplating the curious hats with which the masters of the Prado Museum embellished the heads of the women. But, while I studied them more intensively, I saw the interrelationship between their gazes and their headdresses, like the proud gaze of a lady with a hat made with big jewels and feathers, or the innocent look of a young woman with a flower crown, and, of couse, the submissive gaze in portraits that, over the years, have lost the name of the author. All this being a fascinating world, that facinated me as well. 

In this exposition I exhibit 26 works in acrylic and chalk  on 60x90 cm panels, and 13 drawings on paper that helped me do the transference of the hats.
