Another person who would have love to see this exhibition is her master Don Ramón Cuevas. They were able to have harmony between the two, and their friendship went beyond that, evolving into painting classes. They co-painted some works, those that have the signature "Rampa" (Ramón y Amparo). The rest of people in her painting groups is also definitely going to enjoy them.
The dates of this exhibition are excellent as they coincide with Gijón's festivity of "Begoña". She always liked to attend such festivities, and she always used to prepare a meal, as she always wanted her family to be together in such a special occasion. In addition, it is a splendid time of the year so that both her friends and members of the family who live abroad, have the opportunity to come here.
In respect to her way of painting and to her style, the only thing I can say is that she was a perfectionist, to the point of making the same painting over and over again, until she was satisfied with the final result. She did oil and watercolour paintings, drew using charcoal, and in general, she did anything that was required. It is in her watercolours that we can see her precision and perfectionism.
We want this event to serve a way of remembering her with joy, and acnowledging her talent, event if this could have been done much earlier.
We hope you like it.
Her nephews.
